USL Youth is a driving force for American soccer’s greatest energy: its youth players. It is dedicated to elevating the youth player experience in the United States by inspiring, educating, and engaging the American “soccer generation.”

Evolving from the historic Super Y League, USL Youth provides alignment between the USL’s youth initiatives and the full USL ecosystem’s youth-to-pro pathway. It focuses on building and engaging a vibrant youth soccer community through events, content, and experiences, providing an integral step in the soccer journey of players, coaches, clubs, and families.

USL Youth aims to meet you where you are on your soccer journey and support why you do it.

2024 Footprint

Nearly 600 teams and more than 10,000 players participated in USL Youth in 2024. With the introduction of USL YOUTH, those numbers will rise in the coming years as the USL executes a strategic expansion plan in targeted areas of the country.

Mission

USL Youth is a new integrated platform designed to elevate the youth player experience by inspiring, educating, and engaging the American “soccer generation.”

The USL Youth platform fosters an inclusive youth soccer community through events, content, and experiences. The centerpiece is a high-level national competition that complements the existing youth soccer infrastructure and culminates in the annual USL Youth Finals.

USL Youth meets players, coaches, and families where they are in their soccer journey, connecting the youth soccer community with the broader USL ecosystem of professional and pre-professional clubs.

USL Youth aims to provide anyone in the youth soccer community with the opportunity to reach the level they aspire to. This is why we do it.
